Job Description

The Senior Business Risk Manager (BRM) plays a key role in ensuring the effectiveness, robustness, and continuous improvement of the internal control and risk management framework within the Private Banking (PB) business.

Tasks

The main tasks include:
  • Risk and control management: Design, implementation, execution, and monitoring of the 1LoD control framework for private banking.
  • Risk assessment and governance: Management of private banking risk assessments in close coordination with the second line of defense.
  • Reporting and monitoring: Monitoring and validation of daily, monthly, and quarterly control reports.
  • Consulting and continuous improvement: Supporting business units in risk management, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

The requirements for this position are:
  • Academic degree in economics, business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in risk management, internal controls, or contract/operational risk in banking or financial services, ideally in private banking or wealth management.
  • Strong understanding of non-financial risks, internal control frameworks, and regulatory requirements for private banking.
  • Proven experience working with the first line of defense and strong interactions with second and third line of defense functions.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities effectively, and manage complex risk issues.
  • Strong stakeholder management, with the ability to question constructively at senior management level.
  • Advanced analytical and reporting skills; advanced Excel skills required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
