Job description

Tasks

• Planning, coordination, management, and execution of moderately complex and moderately risky procurement and purchasing processes in selected indirect procurement categories and for locations in Switzerland and the EMEA region
• Advising requesters on all relevant procurement aspects
• Design and implementation of appropriate procurement plans and approaches
• Prioritization and promotion of procurement and purchasing projects
• Negotiation of suitable commercial terms and conditions, prices, KPIs, and SLAs
• Implementation of procurement, contract, and purchasing processes
• Achieving significant cost savings
• Conducting advanced expenditure analyses and reporting on cost savings
• Informing (senior) sourcing leads and line managers about relevant procurement issues

• Supplier management, performance monitoring, and reporting
• Analysis of contracts, previous procurements, and purchases
• Ensuring up-to-date, clear documentation and data confidentiality
• Publication of monthly and ad hoc analyses and reports
• Collaboration with line managers on special projects and continuous improvement
• Representation of absent buyers and spot buyers

Requirements

• Completed commercial diploma or degree in (technical) business administration, preferably in procurement/supply chain
• 5-7 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, and contract roles
• Experience in supplier relationship management and procurement category strategy
• Proven history of exemplary values and conduct
• Team player with a results-oriented approach, hands-on mentality, and focus on solutions
• Adaptability and willingness to change
• Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills
• Very good communication skills in German and English
