Senior Buyer CH & EMEA 100% (f/m/d)

The Senior Buyer CH & EMEA is responsible for planning, coordinating, managing, and executing moderately complex procurement and purchasing processes in selected indirect procurement categories for locations in Switzerland and the EMEA region. The role also includes supplier management, performance monitoring, and reporting.

Job description

Tasks

  • Planning, coordination, management, and execution of moderately complex, medium-risk procurement and purchasing processes in selected indirect procurement categories and for locations in Switzerland and the EMEA region
  • Advising requesters on all relevant procurement aspects (purchasing channels, procurement process, suppliers, forms, templates, minimum requirements, etc.)
  • Design and implementation of appropriate procurement plans and approaches for assigned procurements and requirements
  • Negotiation of appropriate commercial terms, prices, KPIs, and SLAs based on operational guidelines and business objectives
  • Independent execution of procurement, contract, and purchasing processes within the pre-agreed parameters
  • Achieving significant cost savings
  • Conducting advanced expenditure analyses and reporting on cost savings and avoidance

  • Supplier management, performance monitoring, and reporting
  • Analysis of contracts, previous procurements, and purchases to identify potential repurchase priorities
  • Ensuring up-to-date, clear documentation, data confidentiality, and integrity
  • Publication of monthly and ad hoc analyses and reports
  • Collaboration with line managers on special projects and continuous improvement
  • Representation of absent persons

Requirements

  • Completed commercial diploma or degree in (technical) business administration, preferably in procurement/supply chain
  • 5-7 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, and contract roles, with hands-on commercial and contractual negotiations
  • Experience in supplier relationship management and procurement category strategy
  • Proven history of exemplary values and conduct
  • Team player with a results-oriented approach, hands-on mentality, and focus on solutions
  • Adaptability and willingness to change
  • Strong ability to prioritize and handle fluctuating requirements
  • Willingness and ability to learn
  • Self-disciplined and structured
  • Very good communication skills in German and English
