Senior Cloud Architect 80–100% (f/m/d)

Your role

• Design and implementation of cloud infrastructure for SaaS and PaaS use in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Development of the architectural blueprint (SAD) for the hybrid cloud platform, including networking, identity, and configurations for on-premises, Azure, and AWS landing zones
• Security by Design and the Principle of Least Privilege
• Definition of production-ready cloud service catalog templates, storage, and network architectures to support secure and rapid product development
• Selection and design of key platform services (compute, storage, monitoring, automation) to support SaaS and PaaS cloud workloads
• Contribute to cost optimization in the cloud environment, such as pricing and resource consumption
• Active coordination of roadmaps with the product owner, IT engineers, and internal clients
• Contribution to and documentation of relevant cloud architecture principles, standards, and best-practice guidelines

Your team

• As part of the new “Cloud Center of Excellence” team in the IT department at UBS Card Centre AG, you will help shape the future of the cloud by working alongside cloud security specialists and engineers to contribute to a robust cloud governance framework.

Your expertise

• Substantial experience (2+ years) in the cloud sector with comparable large-scale deployments
• A university degree in (business) computer science or a related field, or equivalent higher education
• Strong cloud and accountability skills, as well as excellent communication skills (German/English)
• Practical experience with cloud architecture and the offerings of major hyperscalers in a production environment, as well as with the underlying technologies (virtualization, storage, DevOps)
• Understanding of the stringent regulatory requirements in the banking and credit card industry (PCI/DSS, data residency)
