Senior Compliance Officer

Tasks

• Contribute to a positive and engaging compliance spirit and risk awareness company.
• Ensure adherence to the bank's regulatory duties, appropriately identifying, evaluating, investigating, and resolving compliance and risk issues/concerns.
• Identify, understand, and interpret Swiss/international financial regulations and circulars, as well as guidance issued by the banking industry.
• Current operational tasks
• Relationships and transaction filtering
• Review of account opening (KYC) and related documents (individuals, corporate, and financial intermediaries accounts)
• Controlling, clarifying, and assessing higher-risk transactions, as well as those related to sanctions
• Handle AML investigations, including preparation of suspicious activity reports for the MROS, follow-up with authorities
• Account blocking maintenance
• Review and acceptance of ad hoc re-documentation (e.g., FATCA, QI, CRS forms, CBI) forms
• Monitoring of accounts to ensure adherence to art. 305bis of the SPC
• Periodic reviews of PEP, higher risks and low risks relationships
• Various investigations and follow-up with relevant authorities
• Responding to third-party banks/custodians regarding specific transactions

Requirements

• Functions (5–10 years) covering business lines such as wealth management, asset management, and treasury
• Analytical, well-informed, and creative approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work independently and to the highest level of accuracy and accountability
• Computer and IT systems literate (Avaloq +)
• Ability to work under stress and time pressure
• Self-assertion, good communication skills, and interaction with the front office
• Fluent in French and English (both written and spoken), Arabic is a plus
• Living in Switzerland (mandatory)
