Senior Compliance Officer for Onboarding and Periodic Reviews
EFG International is seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Officer for Onboarding & Periodic Reviews who can handle complex client inquiries and conduct compliance analyses. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in the industry and be fluent in English.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Officer for Onboarding & Periodic Reviews who can manage complex clients. Experience in the private banking industry and a strong understanding of international markets are required. Fluency in English is a must.Main tasks
- Preparation of comprehensive compliance analyses and recommendations for new accounts for both individuals and legal entities
- Assessing the accuracy, completeness, and plausibility of KYC documentation to ensure that risks are appropriately identified and minimized
- Comprehensive review of existing relationships, including multiple accounts and structures; updating of due diligence and risk classification; analysis of cash flows and customer information
- Presentation of specific cases to the Client Acceptance Committee, including corresponding risk assessments and clear compliance recommendations
- Advising and supporting front-office staff on matters related to anti-money laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC), and compliance with the Swiss Banking Code of Conduct (CDB 20)
- Assessment of clients' tax compliance, including FINMA and CBS forms, and other relevant factors; documentation of this assessment and/or inquiries
- Handling other requests and providing support for internal and external audits upon request
- Reporting Potentially Suspicious Cases to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU)
- Collaborate with other units, such as the Sanctions Team, the Legal Department, Account Documentation, and other relevant departments, to ensure a thorough assessment of customers
Requirements
- Professional English required
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role

- Ability to express oneself clearly, both orally and in writing
- In-depth knowledge of industry best practices
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately interpret complex documents or structures
