Job description: Senior Compliance Officer

Tasks

• Periodic client reviews, including PEP and sanctions analysis as well as special requests in close cooperation with subject matter experts
• Compliance assessments and due diligence checks, including KYC and negative news
• Advising stakeholders in both lines of defense
• Regulation-based measures / reporting and responses
• Training for the first line of defense on compliance topics

Requirements

• At least 5-7 years of professional experience in compliance, ideally with experience in high-risk clients and markets
• Solid understanding of the Swiss regulatory framework, in particular AML requirements and customer documentation standards
• Expertise in key compliance areas, including current sanctions regimes, with proven practical application success
• In-depth knowledge of the markets in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia
• Dynamic personality with excellent organizational, operational and communication skills
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset with a strong risk management orientation
• Trusted partner for business units and senior management
• Collaborative team player who can also work independently, interacting daily with business units, compliance stakeholders and leadership
• Fluent in German and/or English plus Russian; additional languages are a strong asset
