Senior Compliance Technology Lead

The Senior Compliance Technology Lead is responsible for leading compliance technology projects, specifically the design, implementation and maintenance of systems that meet regulatory requirements. The candidate should have experience in regulatory compliance, technical project management and communication.

Job description

Tasks

  • Develop, design and/or implement systems using a thorough understanding of available technologies, tools and existing designs.
  • Leading and guiding junior employees, fostering an environment that promotes employee participation, teamwork and communication.
  • Advise business unit partners to determine the most effective use of computers to solve business problems or meet business needs.
  • Leading system projects, including project planning, management, status reporting, system specifications and implementation.
  • Review, negotiate and maintain supplier contracts and make recommendations for the purchase of external services.
  • Communication with various business units and external suppliers, consultants and customers regarding automation requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all audit requirements, including change control procedures and data security.

Requirements

Must have:

  • In-depth experience in regulatory compliance change and rules.
  • Hands-on technical experience with Horizon Scan, GRC systems and other compliance capability systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the system development cycle, client area functions and systems, and application program development to technology alternatives.
  • Analytical ability, strong judgment and management skills, and the ability to work effectively with client and IT management and staff.
  • High flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Leadership and organizational skills to determine and support business unit goals, required resources and employee skill development.

Preferred:

  • Additional experience with e-commerce monitoring and trade assurance systems.
  • Additional experience with archiving and data retention, legal hold capabilities.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Experienced expert with technical and business knowledge and functional expertise developed over several years.
  • Experience in system analysis and application program development.
  • Experience with project feasibility, definition requirements, design and/or project management.
  • Experience with various technical programming languages, including but not limited to: Java, C++ and others.
