Senior Consultant, Third-Party Risk Management

The Senior Consultant for Third-Party Risk Management is responsible for monitoring, governing, and strategically aligning third-party relationships and must have a comprehensive view of the performance, risks, and exposures of these relationships. The position requires strong communication skills, risk management experience, and the ability to solve complex problems and make decisions.

Tasks

The tasks include:
  • Monitoring, governance, and strategic alignment of third-party relationships
  • Maintaining a comprehensive view of third-party performance, risk position, and exposure
  • Coordination with external engagement managers to ensure consistent treatment of third-party providers
  • Monitoring the timely completion of third-party risk assessments, periodic reviews, and issue resolution
  • Leading discussions and coaching engagement managers as part of the TPRM program
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders and internal customers
  • Development and improvement of automated controls and analyses for managing third-party risks

Requirements

The requirements include:
  • Strong consulting skills, problem solving, data analysis, and communication
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to develop presentation materials and deliver them effectively
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and comfort with uncertainty in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent prioritization skills and ability to handle multiple priorities

Experience

The required experience includes:
  • A bachelor's degree in risk or financial management or an equivalent academic degree
  • At least 10 years of experience in third-party risk management at a regulated financial institution
  • Demonstrated experience working with third-party providers in large financial institutions
  • Up to 5 years of experience as a third-party risk manager or in similar positions
