The Senior Credit Advisory and Credit Structuring Specialist is responsible for managing structured credit transactions from origination through to closing and must lead, structure, and negotiate complex credit transactions. The position requires more than 10 years of experience in credit management and also involves developing new credit products and overseeing credit processes.

The position of Senior Credit Advisory and Credit Structuring Specialist involves managing structured credit transactions from origination through to settlement.Tasks
The main tasks include:- Complex or non-standard credit transactions:
- Management, design, and structuring of solutions for complex or non-standard credit transactions in accordance with the agreed-upon operating model for credit solutions.
- Building and maintaining strong internal relationships with various stakeholders to increase the volume of loans.
- First line of defense by providing advice and guidance to credit risk assessors and leading discussions with the credit risk approval team regarding assessment and approval.
- Assisting credit analysts with prospect and client calls and visits when discussing credit terms.
- Preparation of credit memoranda, including the presentation of the deal to EFG’s credit committees to obtain the necessary approval.
- Discuss, negotiate, and review loan terms with the credit approval and legal departments to ensure that the terms and conditions are accurately reflected in the financial documents.
- Credit-related product management:
- Responsibility for achieving the key performance indicators (KPIs) in the Structured Loans division in Hong Kong.
- Engage with and consult credit risk analysts and market group/business unit managers to proactively identify credit-related business opportunities.
- Assume leadership and ownership of the development of new credit-related product initiatives.
- Worked closely with the Regional Manager to formulate and adapt the credit product strategy for the Hong Kong branch and to oversee its implementation.
- Loan process:
- Ensuring compliance with credit and control procedures, as well as adherence to EFG’s risk tolerance guidelines.
- Ability to identify and provide solutions for the processing of credit transactions.
- Providing guidance to credit risk analysts and market group/business unit managers on matters related to credit transactions.
- Support for reporting and monitoring obligations related to certain key transactions.
- Participate in the collaboration between the origination team, the credit team, and other stakeholders on credit-related initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of tools and new processes that lead to greater efficiency in the credit value chain.
- Providing input on credit policies, risk methodologies, and guidelines, with the Credit Department serving as the owner.
Requirements
- A degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications are a plus.
- More than 10 years of experience in credit management at a private bank or a commercial/investment bank.
