Job description: Senior Credit Officer Swiss Mortgages

Tasks

• Taking responsibility for analyzing, structuring, and signing mortgages, including obtaining the right information to make informed and fact-based decisions, thereby supporting the qualitative growth of the mortgage portfolio
• Offering solutions and risk-oriented support in structuring mortgages, working proactively with stakeholders in the front organization and the second line of defense to ensure risk-appropriate solutions
• Support in the implementation of the mortgage strategy and participation in related projects and initiatives as a specialist
• Contribution to the development and improvement of credit processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements

• At least 10+ years of experience in the financial industry and in a loan underwriting role
• Excellent understanding and advanced knowledge of the mortgage business, the end-to-end process, and the Swiss real estate market
• Strong analytical and structuring skills, combined with a can-do attitude, the ability to independently assess risk and enable business through a strong customer and service orientation
• Strong negotiation and communication skills in German and English (French would be an additional advantage), combined with the ability to develop and maintain professional stakeholder management
