Senior Data Engineer – Data Analytics Platform
Julius Baer is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Zurich for a 12-month contract to help build the Data Analytics Platform. The role requires at least five years of experience in ETL/ELT, Python, Spark, and cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and Snowflake.
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, data analytics, information systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent training and professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in ETL/ELT, data warehousing, business intelligence, streaming, and processing/workflow management tools as applied to pipeline design
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining end-to-end data systems using Python, Spark, SQL, and similar programming languages, preferably on Microsoft Azure, with Snowflake and Delta Lake
- Solid experience in using SQL for data analysis, troubleshooting data issues, data modeling, and designing effective solutions
- Experience working with cloud-based data technologies, preferably on Microsoft Azure with Snowflake, Spark, PySpark, and Spark within Azure Data Factory
- Proven experience working with large-scale datasets using DataBricks' Databricks
- Hands-on experience with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data systems, including relational databases (RDBMS), data warehouses, in-memory databases, and document databases
- Familiarity with cloud storage solutions such as Azure Data Lake and Blob Storage
- A solid understanding of data modeling principles (experience with Data Vault is a plus) and strong
