Tasks

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver a new BI and analytics platform utilizing expertise in data warehousing and reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture business requirements and develop technical solutions that meet their needs while aligning with the company's overall strategy.
• Early identification of technical barriers and working with teams to define appropriate technology solutions to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
• Coordinate, execute and support system and integration testing to ensure smooth delivery of data solutions.
• Documenting solutions provided and sharing knowledge with other teams to encourage collaboration and continuous learning.
• Working in an agile project environment, collaborating with other scrum, product and technology teams to achieve the best possible results for the bank and its clients.
• Participation in the resolution of production incidents, analysis of problems, specification of solutions and implementation of fixes.

Requirements

About you

• You have a strong background in data engineering and analytics with at least 5 years of experience in the financial/banking industry.
• You have excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to distill complex information.

• Strong knowledge of data modeling and database management.
• Experience with data warehousing and reporting, including data mart design and development.
• Expertise in data ingestion and transformation tools, such as SQL, Python, Spark, dbt or equivalent.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, including SCD, ODS and SDS.
• Ability to synthesize and aggregate data in DataMart.
• Knowledge of reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, SSRS or equivalent.
• Experience with data models for banking applications, with knowledge of systems such as Temenos T24, Triple A or other equivalent systems as a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Academic education in computer science or related disciplines.
• Good problem solving and analytical skills, with experience in troubleshooting and solving technical problems.
• Excellent written and oral skills in English, with additional languages (such as French or German) as an asset.
