Senior Data Manager - Management Accounting (Full-Time) (f/m/d)

The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Senior Data Manager for Management Accounting who will be responsible for managing financial data and implementing solutions for financial data reconciliation. The ideal candidate should have 10 years of experience in the financial industry and knowledge of financial systems such as SAP S/4HANA or Temenos.

Tasks

  • Pre-valuation, accounting entries, cost allocation, T-Rol, generating reports to meet downstream reporting requirements
  • Assess the impact of revised data flows and redefined master data ownership on existing reconciliation processes, identifying gaps and dependencies across the financial control chain
  • Design a harmonized end-to-end finance and banking reconciliation framework that reduces manual work, enhances transparency, and aligns with the new system architecture to replace fragmented legacy reconciliation processes
  • Facilitate alignment by regularly engaging with subject matter experts, preparing structured materials, planning sessions, and developing targeted decision-making materials for stakeholder review and executive approval
  • Work closely with functional delivery teams during the solution design, configuration, and testing phases to ensure that the implemented data structures and reconciliation logic meet business requirements and accounting standards

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in banking, financial services, or management consulting, with a strong focus on transformation projects, core banking system implementation, and financial data flows
  • Financial expertise in wealth management products, particularly in the areas of financial and management accounting
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture principles, data modeling, and financial system integration with upstream applications such as trading platforms, core banking systems, or risk management tools
  • Technical skills: Strong understanding of ERP and Management Information Systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA or BW); experience with Temenos or other core banking applications is a plus
  • Experience with the migration of legacy systems, including planning, execution, and post-implementation testing
  • Proven experience in requirements development, with a strong ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into actionable, context-appropriate solution options
  • Expert in documenting, modeling, and structuring complex business processes, data flows, and system functionalities using established techniques and tools
  • Skilled at organizing and presenting information effectively for different audiences and purposes
