Senior Data Science Analyst

Tasks

As a Senior Analyst on the Data Science team, you will acquire, wrangle, and analyze large structured and unstructured datasets to support investment research and decision-making. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with investment teams to identify data opportunities, propose creative use cases, and recommend solutions to support investment strategy and decision-making.
• Acquisition, transformation, and analysis of large, unstructured datasets to support investment research and decision-making.
• Development and maintenance of data science tools, algorithms, and KPIs; conducting statistical tests; and preparing research reports to maintain an accessible knowledge base for investment teams.
• Help design and develop our AI/ML data platform to streamline the data science process.
• Rapid prototyping and industrialization of AI-driven tools, in collaboration with the technology team to produce data products.
• Contribute to company-wide data initiatives and stay informed about industry trends in alternative data.

Requirements

Essential:

• 3+ years of proven experience in data wrangling, time series analysis, statistical techniques, and data science.
• Proficiency in the Python data science stack (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, Matplotlib) with experience managing AI/ML projects.
• Practical knowledge of Snowflake, Hive, and Unix/Linux; 2+ years of experience with large-scale SQL queries and cloud-based data warehousing – willing and able to effectively handle AI development tasks as part of daily workflows.
• Ability to present technical findings and concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience that aligns with a strong background in data-driven solutions.
• Strong academic background with a degree in a STEM field.

Nice to have:

• Previous experience working with investment professionals in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Experience in building ETL pipelines and proficiency in SQL are preferred.
