Senior Data Science Analyst

The role

As a Senior Analyst on the Data Science team, you will acquire, wrangle, map, and analyze large structured and unstructured datasets to inform investment research and portfolio management decisions. As a subject matter expert on select projects, you will conduct fundamental research, exploratory analyses, and ad-hoc queries, and serve as a bridge between our investment teams and the broader Data & AI department, with the goal of delivering scalable, low-touch data delivery and analytics.

Main responsibilities

* Collaborate with investment teams to identify data opportunities, propose creative use cases, and recommend solutions that support existing strategy and decision-making * Acquire, transform, and analyze large, unstructured datasets to support investment research and decision-making * Contribute to the design and development of our 4Di-driven data platform to streamline the data curation process * Develop proof-of-concept products and A/B-driven tools, collaborating with the technology team to produce them * Contribute to company-wide data initiatives and stay abreast of industry trends in alternative data

Key competencies

Essential: * 4+ years of proven experience in data wrangling, time series analysis, statistical techniques, and data * Proficiency in the Python data science stack (Pandas, PySpark, Dash, Meta/Plotly) with experience managing A/B tests and/or statistical techniques and data pipelines that are robust against backtesting and back-of-the-envelope development * Working knowledge of software/ML; Unix/NIX; SQL * Strong analytical mindset and ability to collaborate effectively with AI development teams * Ability to present technical results and concepts to non-technical audiences * Experienced analyst with a strong focus on understanding investment strategies and proactively driving data-driven solutions * Strong academic background with a degree in a STEM field Nice to have: * Previous experience collaborating with investment professionals in a fast-paced environment preferred * Experience building ETL pipelines and proficiency in SQL preferred
