Senior Data Scientist -Officer
The Senior Data Scientist - Officer will be based at State Street in Hangzhou and play a key role in delivering AI technology services to the Global Advisors business. The candidate should have 3+ years of experience in wealth management and excellent experience in developing service-oriented AI technology platforms.
Job description
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist - Officer to join our Hangzhou office. This role will play an important part in the delivery of AI technology services for State Street's Global Advisors business.Tasks
- Delivering effective AI solutions to meet rapidly changing business requirements and customer needs
- Collaborate with global teams to execute global projects and improve model solution and technology best practices
- Mentoring junior data scientists to support their continuous development and growth
- Development of AI solutions to support COO delivery of technology platforms and services by asset class
- Integration, adaptation and training of known AI models and algorithms to solve financial market problems
- Implementation of model validation, design and implementation of methods, MLOps and improvement of end-to-end model interpretability
- Writing model specifications for problems, assumptions, data tests, methodology implementation framework and end-to-result
- Support with IT integration, QA/validation and provision of AI microservices
Requirements
- Masters degree in computer science, mathematics and/or financial engineering required; PhD preferred
- 3+ years of hands-on coding experience with basic AI algorithms and/or similar experience with deep learning neural network techniques
- 3+ years of experience in modeling, deep learning or quantitative programming (Python, Java)
- Proficient in cloud-based development environments and native product development
- Fluent in major general-purpose financial, relational databases, data management and risk management tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all stakeholder levels
- Results-oriented, detail-oriented; excellent analytical skills
Desired qualifications
- PhD degree or experience in financial institutions and model validation
- Experience in investment and/or asset management
- Experience with structured and unstructured data management tools
- Passed Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) level or equivalent
