Senior DevOps Engineer
Julius Baer Bank is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer for a 12-month contract project in Singapore, where the candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing software modules and systems. The ideal candidate will have more than 8 years of experience in software development, experience with cloud-native applications and distributed systems, and strong communication and teamwork skills.
Tasks
The role involves responsibility for the design, development, and testing of software modules to ensure optimal functionality and integration within complex systems. The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for maintaining the Market Data Platform (MDP), ensuring its stability, performance, and continuous improvement.Requirements
The requirements for this role are:- Over 8 years of experience
- Experience with the integration and configuration of vendor software
- Experience with databases such as OneTick or similar
- Solid ability to work on Linux and Unix infrastructure
- C/C++ experience (Jenkins, GitLab, Maven, and others)
- Scripting skills (Bash)
- Subdomains (deployment and experience with distributed architecture)
- Development background (e.g., Java, .NET, Scala, Python, JavaScript)
- Ability to identify non-functional requirements and document system designs
- Understanding of communication stacks (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, gRPC, WebSockets)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with people of different nationalities in different time zones
Professional and technical
The professional and technical requirements are:- Experience in banking, particularly in financial markets
- Experience with Azure Application Platform, especially AKS
- Experience and knowledge in architecture and code development for microservices and distributed applications
- Operators, helmet chart creation and maintenance
- Monitoring tools (Grafana, Elasticsearch, Fluent-Bit, OpenTelemetry)
- Understanding of security topics such as OAuth 2.0, TLS, and vulnerability scanning
