Senior Engineer - Java / Spring Boot
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Senior Engineer – Java / Spring Boot for a 12-month permanent position with the possibility of extension in Zurich. The Senior Engineer should have experience in Java and Spring Boot and will contribute to the development of software solutions in the wealth management sector.
Tasks
- Gaining an understanding of business needs by collaborating with colleagues from different departments
- Participate in planning and feature refinement meetings with the team
- Working with architects to design software solutions that align with Julius Baer’s overall architectural vision
- Delivery of high-quality code that complies with guidelines and standards
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or relevant professional experience
- Knowledge and practical experience with DevOps principles, including CI/CD and Kubernetes
- Extensive experience in backend software development, particularly with Java and Java frameworks such as Spring Boot
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture
- Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka and Avro
- Familiarity with automated testing
- Pragmatic, proactive, and open to new ideas, with an entrepreneurial approach
- A passion for lifelong learning and contributing to technological advancement
