Senior Engineer - Java / Spring Boot
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Senior Engineer – Java / Spring Boot to join a team developing high-quality software solutions and to participate in the planning and implementation of projects. This is a 12-month position with the possibility of extension, offering the opportunity to contribute to the company’s technological evolution.
Tasks
- Gaining an understanding of business needs by collaborating with colleagues from different departments
- Participate in planning and feature refinement meetings with the team
- Working with architects to design software solutions that align with Julius Baer’s overall architectural vision
- Delivery of high-quality code that complies with Julius Baer’s guidelines and standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or relevant professional experience
- Knowledge and practical experience with DevOps principles, including CI/CD and Kubernetes
- Proven extensive experience in backend software development, particularly with Java and Java frameworks such as Spring Boot
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture
- Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka and Avro
- Familiarity with automated testing
- Pragmatic, proactive, and open to new ideas, with an entrepreneurial approach
- A passion for lifelong learning and contributing to technological advancement
