(Senior) FIX Engineer Specialist

Your Role

• As a (Senior) FIX Engineer Specialist at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you are responsible for our group-wide execution trading system (FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk Suite—Front Arena AMS and Avaloq) as well as for related systems.
• In addition, you will be responsible for customization and workflow definition tasks, primarily for FIX interfaces, including project management work.

Your Responsibilities

• Customize FIX Interfaces
• Define IT processes and workflows within our order routing and trading systems, such as the FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk Suite—Front Arena AMS (market access, order routing, settlement) and Avaloq
• Implement, configure, and test new features
• Business-level analysis and support
• Create technical documentation

Your Profile

• Higher education (university or university of applied sciences) in IT or the natural sciences, with 5 years of practical experience in the field of FIX interfaces
• Required industry-specific knowledge as well as basic knowledge of trading (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Foreign Exchange)
• Hands-on experience with the FIX Protocol, TLS, and encryption, as well as a strong background in IT, particularly with Windows Network Operating System (NOS) and TCP/IP
• Knowledge of the FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk Suite: Front Arena AMS, Avaloq, and/or Python is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to work with various stakeholders, and a willingness to take responsibility
• Ability to work independently and ability to work under pressure
• Fluency in English; fluency in German is a plus
