(Senior) FIX Engineer Specialist

Your role

As a (Senior) FIX Engineer Specialist at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you will work in an agile team that develops enhancements and new solutions not only for our group-wide execution and trading system (FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk Suite—Front Arena AMS and Avaloq) but also for surrounding systems. In addition, you will be responsible for customization and workflow definition, primarily for FIX interfaces, including project management tasks.

Your tasks

• Customization of FIX Interfaces
• Defining IT processes and workflows within our order routing and trading systems, such as the FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk Suite—Front Arena AMS (market access, order routing, settlement) and Avaloq
• Implementation, Configuration, and Testing of New Features
• Business-Level Analysis and Support
• Preparation of Technical Documentation

Your profile

• Higher education (university or university of applied sciences) in IT or the natural sciences, with 5 years of practical experience in the field of FIX interfaces
• Required industry-specific knowledge as well as basic knowledge of trading (equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX)
• Practical experience with the FIX protocol, TLS, and encryption, as well as a strong aptitude for IT, particularly with Windows NOS and TCP/IP
• Knowledge of the FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk Suite; Front Arena AMS, Avaloq, and/or Python is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to work with various stakeholders, and a willingness to take on responsibility
• Ability to work independently and handle stress
• Fluency in English; fluency in German is a plus
