Senior Front-End Developer
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Senior Front Arena Developer (m/f/d) for a 12-month permanent position with the possibility of extension to implement new structured products in the front office and mid-office and to lead the integration between Front Arena and other systems. The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience in Front Arena roles and a solid understanding of capital markets and financial products.
Tasks
- Implementation of new structured products across the value chain, from the front office (sales and trading) to mid-office functions, to ensure accuracy
- Lead integration efforts between Front Arena and upstream/downstream systems (pricing, market data, risk models)
- Conducting root cause analyses and efficiently resolving complex production issues
- Conducting thorough code reviews to ensure quality, security, and compliance with architectural standards
- Identifying and implementing system improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and operational resilience
- Participation in change and release management processes within an agile (SAFe) delivery framework
- Adherence to ethical principles, risk discipline, and compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Over 10 years of experience in front-office roles supporting trading, mid-office, valuation, and risk
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with Front Arena AEL, ACM, and ADFL (all three required)
- A solid understanding of capital markets, particularly structured products and equity derivatives
- In-depth knowledge of financial product lifecycles (e.g., cash flows, corporate actions, maturities)
- Practical experience with Front Arena data models, workflows, and component interactions
