Senior Front-End (React) Developer
The Julius Baer Group is seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Developer (React) for its financial platforms in Zurich, Switzerland, for a 80–100% position lasting 12 months, with the possibility of extension. The Senior Frontend Developer will be responsible for developing complex frontend solutions and ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
Your challenge
- Take responsibility for complex front-end solutions to ensure scalability, performance, security, and long-term maintainability
- Work closely with UX/UI designers and business partners to translate complex requirements into intuitive, high-quality user interfaces
- Deliver high-quality, production-ready React and TypeScript code for complex financial applications
- Solve advanced front-end challenges such as state management, performance optimization, and integration with distributed backend systems
- Proactively refactor and modernize existing codebases as needed
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis across all development and production environments
- Make an active contribution in an agile, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment
Your profile
- Extensive, hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, with a strong focus on React in an enterprise setting
- In-depth understanding of modern front-end ecosystems, tools, and frameworks (React, Node.js, build tooling)
- Proven experience working with advanced design systems and large, shared component libraries
- Solid understanding of Unix/Linux environments and Bash scripting
- Experience in the financial services industry or other highly regulated sectors is a plus
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
