Senior Full-Stack Engineer - 100% (f/m/d)

Tasks

• Translating business needs into technical solutions through collaboration with colleagues across all departments at Julius Baer.
• Collaborate with solution architects to design software solutions that align with the bank's overarching architectural vision.
• Active participation in internal software engineering communities through the exchange of knowledge with colleagues.
• Conduct pull request reviews and deliver high-performance code that complies with Julius Baer's guidelines and standards.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field, or proven equivalent professional experience.
• Experience: At least seven years of experience in Java development and at least three years of experience in front-end and full-stack development.
• Technology stack: Spring Boot, service-oriented architecture, RESTful services, SQL, Oracle, JavaScript, TypeScript, Kubernetes (PKS), virtual machines, streaming (Kafka, AWS, Azure), UML.
• Industry expertise: A solid understanding of the field of customer pricing, as well as core banking functionality and operational approaches.
• Engineering Practices: Proven experience in delivering software using test-driven development (TDD and BDD), with a strong emphasis on automated testing and quality assurance measures.
• Understanding of DevOps: Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and modern deployment concepts.
• Soft Skills: Pragmatic, open-minded, and entrepreneurial, with a “can-do” attitude. You take ownership of your work and lead by example.
• Collaboration: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders in a cross-cultural environment.
• Language: English at the C1 level with fluent business proficiency.
• Bonus: Experience with AI-powered coding tools such as Claude Code or similar tools is a plus.
