Senior FX Advisor

Job description

Job Summary

• Responsible for generating, distributing, and executing profitable FX trading and return enhancement ideas through fundamental and technical analysis, and accordingly contributing to revenue.
• Serving high net worth private clients with a complete range of foreign exchange and precious metals products, including spot, swaps, and exotic options, DCL accumulators, and structured products (ETNs) to meet clients' investment and hedging needs
• Promotion of foreign exchange sales to internal relationship managers (RMs) through key distribution channels, including joint marketing activities
• Supporting RMs with general foreign exchange-related inquiries, scheduled investment meetings, and dynamic foreign exchange portfolio advice
• Supporting RMs in customer marketing efforts, training sessions, and presentations
• Responsible for good trade execution, tracking, and position management
• Assistance with ad hoc/administrative tasks at the desk, e.g., blotter maintenance, money market activities, generation of product term sheets, etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree / Bac + 4

Academic qualifications / Field of study

• Degree in banking and finance or a related field

Minimum experience

• 2-3 years

Experience

• Extensive product and market knowledge across the entire range of cash and derivative products for the foreign exchange and precious metals asset class
• At least 7-10 years of experience in foreign exchange sales and derivatives sales/trading, preferably in the wealth management sector, dealing with internal RMs and external clients

Required skills

• Good knowledge of compliance and regulation in the wealth management sector
• A good team player with excellent presentation and communication skills, ideally with computer skills
• Ability to communicate fluently in English and Mandarin. Language skills in other languages or dialects are a plus.
