Senior Investment Advisor

The Senior Investment Counselor provides advisory services and supports the Head of Investment Solutions in day-to-day operations to assist private banking clients in achieving their goals. The position requires extensive knowledge of financial markets and investment strategies, as well as strong communication and sales skills.

Job description

The Senior Investment Counselor provides advisory services to private banking CROs and clients in accordance with the regional service model, tailored to the clients’ objectives, investment profiles, investment universes, regulations, and procedures. He or she supports the Head of Investment Solutions in day-to-day operations.

Focus of activities

  • Investment advice:
    • Monitoring developments in the financial markets to gain an understanding of current and future trends and their potential impact on investment strategies
    • Providing comprehensive investment advice and solutions to top-tier private bankers and their clients across a range of global products, including fixed-income securities, equities, mutual funds, hedge funds, derivatives, and structured products
    • Responding to all inquiries from private bankers regarding trading and investment strategies and providing the relevant supporting documentation
    • Efficient processing of investment transactions and customer instructions
    • Conducting and communicating detailed market research and investment solutions
    • Ensuring the proactive, personalized, and professional delivery of consulting services through collaboration with various internal teams and units within the group
    • Collaborating with internal teams to develop local consulting services tailored to client needs
    • Serve as the point of contact for consulting services in local committees and presentations
    • Continuous improvement of the efficiency and quality of consulting services through appropriate measures
  • Business Development:
    • Anticipating customer needs and identifying opportunities to maximize business potential
    • Supporting private bankers in acquiring new business and identifying investment solutions that meet clients' needs
    • Promotion of investment solutions (presentations, investment proposals, book reviews, etc.)
    • Supporting growth in consulting and planning services through the implementation of appropriate sales strategies
  • Risk and Control Management:
    • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and bank policies and procedures
    • Daily monitoring of portfolios

Requirements

  • A degree in economics and/or finance. CFA certification would be a plus.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role within a wealth management or asset management environment.
  • A high level of expertise and the ability to communicate ideas and recommendations
  • Excellent sales and communication skills
  • Fluent in Greek and English; French would be a plus
