Job description

Senior Investment Professional – EQMC Fund, part of Alantra Asset Management, is seeking an experienced investment professional to join its Madrid-based investment team.

Tasks

As part of the investment team, your responsibilities will include:

• Investment Analysis and Research
• Identification, evaluation, and development of potential investment and divestment opportunities through in-depth qualitative and quantitative research
• Developing detailed investment strategies and preparing investment and divestment recommendations for discussion with the Investment Committee
• Leading and facilitating interactions with management teams, board members, shareholders, consultants, and other relevant stakeholders
• Monitoring existing investments by tracking financial performance, strategic developments, industry trends, market events, and relevant corporate actions

Broader contribution to the fund

• Supporting the fund’s core business needs, including investor materials, quarterly reporting, marketing-related analysis, client inquiries, and other ad hoc projects
• Proactive contribution to internal discussions regarding the platform's future development

Requirements

Candidate Profile: We are looking for candidates who:

• 5–7+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally in equity research, investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, asset management, or strategy consulting
• Relevant international experience, with a good command of English; knowledge of Spanish and other European languages would be an asset
• Comprehensive analytical profile, with a proven ability to link research findings to financial outcomes and investment results
• Prudence in matters of corporate governance, management incentives, and shareholder value creation
• Entrepreneurial spirit, strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a clear willingness to take on responsibility and work with minimal supervision
