Senior Investment Writer

Position Summary

The Senior Investment Writer role is a position within the Global Marketing team responsible for creating corporate, investment, marketing, and branding content.

Tasks

The tasks include:

• Creation of thought leadership content in both long-form and short-form formats across multiple media (including articles, videos, infographics, market insights, press editorials, and social media posts)
• Collaborate with investment management and cross-business teams, including Investments, Compliance, Legal, and other business teams, to identify compelling thought leadership opportunities
• Developing proficiency in Man Group's content management, compliance, and data visualization/chart design tools
• Developing compelling ideas to illustrate the value of our investment opportunity
• Ensuring that content is effectively tailored to our target audience and resonates with them
• Tailoring content to our institutional, wealth management, and intermediary client segments, with a growing understanding of each target audience’s level of sophistication and needs, in order to maximize the impact of content across advertising channels
• A commitment to thorough, data-driven journalism to produce high-quality, targeted financial news

Requirements

The requirements include:

• At least two years of experience in content marketing and/or thought leadership writing on investment topics
• College degree or higher
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
• Experience working with marketing, investment, sales, and product teams
• A solid understanding of markets and asset classes, along with a good grasp of economic drivers
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to edit and proofread, as well as intellectual curiosity and rigor to ensure that content is both academically sound and conceptually dense, clear, and concise
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey Man Group's ideas to various audiences
• A commercial mindset, with extensive experience working with marketing/media, fixed-income, and alternative asset classes
• Driven, self-motivated, with a growth mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach
• Data literacy: The ability to use data to create data visualizations, enhance the use and effectiveness of content, and leverage insights and trends
• Understanding and implementing regulatory and compliance requirements
