Senior IT Controller (Full-Time) (f/m/d)
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Senior IT Controller to lead and support financial and operational governance as well as project management initiatives within the Technology division. The ideal candidate will have at least 5–7 years of experience in a similar role and possess excellent analytical and conceptual skills.
Job description
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior IT Controller who is passionate about driving financial and operational management as well as project management initiatives for the Group’s Technology division. You will join a dynamic and experienced team within the COO Chief of Staff unit, comprised of experts who serve as thought partners for the COO’s leadership team and support them in achieving their goals and shaping the future vision.Tasks
- Play a key role in the financial and reporting activities of Run-the-Bank (RtB) and Change-the-Bank (CtB).
- Conduct or coordinate quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform decision-making regarding the RtB and CtB portfolios.
- Lead or support strategic initiatives and projects by collaborating with teams and functions such as Finance, Group IT, the Transformation Office, and others.
- Lead or support transformational initiatives related to front-to-back processes and governance issues.
- Conduct ad hoc queries and analyses at the senior management level.
- Create polished, story-driven presentations for various committees and stakeholders within the corporation.
Requirements
- Strong academic background: A university degree in business administration, finance, accounting, econometrics, or a related field, with above-average grades.
- At least 5–7 years of experience in a comparable or related role within the banking industry or at a consulting firm specializing in technology, banking, or the financial sector.
- Strong interest in technology, private banking, and finance.
- Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, with a strong aptitude for quantitative modeling.
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills are required. Programming skills (e.g., VBA, Python, SQL, R) and knowledge of data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau) are a plus.
- Highly self-motivated with excellent organizational and multitasking skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure.
