Job description

The role

• Development, integration, testing, and support in requirements gathering and documentation of solutions/components in the area of Java/API/backend connections in collaboration with all departments involved (business and IT)
• Application and lifecycle support (including third-level support) and further development or performance and maintainability of existing Java/API applications and implementation of proof-of-concepts
• Creation and evaluation of various solution sets, implementation of code peer reviews, and coordination of content for product-specific projects
• Collaboration in the design and implementation of standards and innovations in API development

That's what we want:

• Secondary education (economics, computer science, or similar) or immediate higher education
• At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing Java software in an agile environment, preferably with/supporting OpenAPI 2.x
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot 2.x, Java 11 (E)PA, Servlet, JMS, web services, and EJB
• REST APIs (OpenAPI 2.x)
• Practical experience with database integrations, SQL, and event streaming systems (Apache Kafka)
• Solid understanding of secure coding practices, enterprise integration technologies, and architecture designs for distributed systems
• Strong sense of quality and responsibility, independent and structured approach to work, good communication and teamwork skills, and a growth mindset
• Good language skills in German and English (spoken and written)
• Availability during on-call hours
