Senior Linux / Storage System Engineer

Tasks

• You operate and further develop our high-performance storage platforms (Hitachi Vantara) - as Lead Engineer or together in a team.
• Technologies: Block storage, SAN, NAS, object storage and archive solutions.
• You will be responsible for the engineering and stable operation of business-critical Linux servers - both in our private cloud and in the public cloud.
• You work closely with our internal and external partners and actively contribute your troubleshooting skills.
• You are part of exciting innovation projects in the Linux environment: design it, implement it, run it.
• You are responsible for the lifecycle of the platforms - from selection to decommissioning.

Requirements

• A degree in computer science (university, ETH, FH) or equivalent technical training.
• In-depth know-how in Linux and storage technologies - and the motivation to continuously expand this knowledge.
• Experience in the automation of platforms (e.g. with Ansible, Python).
• You are a real team player, work independently, are solution-oriented and use your own initiative.
• Very good knowledge of German and solid knowledge of English.
• Willingness to be on standby or on call.
