Senior Manager, Global Paid Media Effectiveness

ING is seeking a Senior Manager for Global Paid Media Effectiveness in Amsterdam—someone with over 10 years of experience to lead media effectiveness analysis, budget allocation, and strategic decision-making within the Global Brand & Marketing division. The position combines operational analysis with collaboration with stakeholders and agencies to optimize the efficiency of marketing investments in a multinational environment.

Tasks

  • Management involving multiple project members and stakeholders. It combines operational, hands-on analytical tasks with organizational work across markets and strategic decisions regarding media investment.
  • Develop or improve methods for defining the marketing budget per market, with a focus on effectiveness, efficiency, and investment allocation, taking into account external recommendations regarding seasonal scenarios and the more active use of press tools in business environments.
  • Providing guidelines for allocating the marketing budget across various channels in different markets.
  • Analyze and report on actual marketing expenditures compared to budgets and channel allocation to help markets and global stakeholders make investment decisions throughout the year.
  • Collaborating with executives in the wholesale banking division. Coordinating with them on our projects and supporting them in achieving our shared business goals.
  • Translating complex paid media concepts into clear language for senior executives.
  • Close collaboration with media agencies and analytics partners to ensure consistent monitoring quality, data reliability, and the implementation of recommendations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in media effectiveness, media analysis, and media performance measurement, with a solid understanding of the entire funnel (branding performance).
  • Preferably, experience in marketing, the financial services sector, or another complex multinational corporate environment, as well as experience at a media agency.
  • Proficiency in Studio, Dynamo, CDP (e.g., MeltEdge, Adobe), and marketing automation (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Excellent understanding of data protection regulations and their impact on media measurement, including the GDPR and data protection-driven measurement environments.
  • Experience managing external analysts, media agency platforms, or measurement partners.
