Job description: Senior Media Relations Manager

Tasks

• Development and implementation of media relations strategies
• Responding to media inquiries to ensure accurate and timely responses
• Crafting and refining narratives, media releases, key messages and Q&As for financial and non-financial communications
• Building and maintaining relationships with journalists, editors and producers to secure coverage
• Monitoring of PR agencies
• Proactive search for media opportunities and pitching of stories
• Creating compelling press material to promote initiatives, investment products and events
• Ensuring consistent messages in internal and external communications
• Planning and coordination of media events
• Strategic advice to management during crises

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field
• At least five years of experience in media relations in financial services, investment management (in-house or agency)
• Proven ability to secure media coverage and build strong relationships with journalists in the DACH region
• Deep understanding of print, broadcast, online and social media landscapes
• Expertise in crisis communication and media risk management
• Experience in the management of financial results
• Excellent writing skills in German (native speaker) and English, with the ability to adapt content to different audiences and publications

Language skills and abilities

• Native German speaker
• Knowledge of English and French is an advantage
• Excellent interpersonal, networking and presentation skills
• Strategic thinker with a solution-oriented attitude and strong attention to detail
