Senior MIS Business Partner

EFG International is seeking a Senior MIS Business Partner for its headquarters in Zurich who has experience in banking, project management, and stakeholder management and who will support the business units in achieving their strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in a financial institution and excellent communication and analytical skills.

Job description

The role involves a range of responsibilities within the Strategic Planning and Transformation team at EFG International's headquarters in Switzerland. This role requires strong experience in the banking industry as well as experience in project management and stakeholder management. Specific duties and responsibilities include:
  • Partner with business units to ensure strategic goals are achieved and delivered, and align initiatives with overall organizational goals.
  • Responsibility for project management of strategic planning and transformation IT-based tools to ensure the translation of business requirements into solutions that enable efficient and effective delivery across the entire organization
  • Responsibility for maintaining and developing the CRO model and calculating CRO bonus provisions, in close cooperation with regional and local controllers, managing stakeholder relationships, and facilitating communication with the Compensation Committee
  • Supporting the Asset and Liability Committee in addressing key issues related to net interest income to enable informed decision-making and strategic planning
  • Supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and growth initiatives by providing financial analysis, due diligence, and strategic input to achieve successful outcomes
  • Special tasks:
    • Supporting the group-wide cost transformation program as finance lead on critical group-wide initiatives to improve global efficiency, including preparing information and insights on project performance and communicating risks and opportunities to senior management

Requirements

  • Academic degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or CFA
  • At least 10 years of experience in a financial institution
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills
  • Strong analytical data skills and experience working with large data sets
  • Strong numerical skills and sound judgment based on extensive experience
  • Ability to analyze an actual situation, create a gap analysis, and define a target state
  • Ability to interact with all areas of the bank in all locations and at all levels of seniority
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
  • English is required; the ability to speak French, German, and/or Italian is considered a plus.
