Tasks

• Development, testing and implementation of software modules to ensure optimal functionality and integration within complex systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver innovative solutions
• Participation in the planning of program increments (PI) within GPS
• Environment and configuration management of Murex applications/PICCS modules and Java applications
• Expert-level support and troubleshooting for internal and external software, with a focus on Unix (Solaris), SCS, languages (Java, XML, HTML)
• Focus on Unix (Linux), SCS, languages
• Configuration and scripting around Murex offerings to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance
• Design, build, test and deploy new tools, services, databases to improve the platform
• Monitoring and ensuring that business-critical services/features are available and running properly in production, with a focus on high availability and minimal downtime
• Planning and troubleshooting of end-of-day processes to ensure timely and accurate completion
• Participate in on-call services for production support to provide prompt and effective solutions to problems and minimize the impact on business operations
• Availability for production provisioning on one weekend per month
• Support new tools, metrics to monitor and optimize application performance to meet changing business needs
• Continuous improvement of the platform, identification of optimization areas and implementation of changes to increase efficiency and reduce risk

Requirements

Professional and technical requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development, system administration or technical support, with a focus on Murex trading applications and platforms
• Knowledge of Murex MAM, Exchange workflow design and implementation
• Knowledge of Murex reporting Datamart or other Murex components
• Java development experience
• Experience with messaging systems (e.g. MD, Kafka)
• Experience with databases/SQL-related queries (Oracle, Sybase)
• Experience with agile development methods and versioning systems (e.g. Bitbucket, GitLab, etc.)
• Environment management with strong expertise in Linux operating systems and bash scripting would be an advantage

Personal and social requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information technology or a related field
• Financial engineering or programming qualification is desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously in a global team setup, take initiative with a positive attitude
• Solution-oriented and able to work in an agile setup
