Senior .Net Backend Engineer / AR Deputy 100% (f/m/d)
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Senior .NET Backend Engineer / AR Deputy with experience in .NET technology and working in agile teams to support the development and operation of applications. The ideal candidate has strong communication and coordination skills, as well as at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Tasks
As Application Responsible Deputy, you will be part of an agile team. Your primary objectives are:- You are technically proficient and familiar with .NET technology (C#, SQL, .NET Core/CLI), and you understand the concepts of containerization and orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes) as well as service deployment.
- You are familiar with application monitoring tools such as ELK, Splunk, and Dynatrace, and can use this knowledge to quickly identify and resolve production issues—either independently or by supporting the team.
- You understand standard IT governance processes and take responsibility for your team’s applications.
- They plan, coordinate, and implement measures to address risks, security issues, vulnerabilities, upgrades, and other mandated improvements.
- You understand and can demonstrate IT service management principles, preferably based on ITIL 4, in agile and DevOps contexts.
- You support your team by coordinating with Release Management to create RFCs that include properly documented dependencies, deployment windows, and rollback procedures.
- You have experience working in DevOps teams in agile environments (SAFe) using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MIRO, etc.
- You ensure that the minimum requirements for your team’s applications are met and keep the change documentation up to date (Solution Design, Security Concept, Service Continuity (BCM), Operational Manual).
- They ensure that non-functional requirements are adapted, defined, and validated (e.g., performance, capacity, availability, and disaster recovery).
- You play a key role in advising your team on release go/no-go decisions, overseeing the burn-in phase, and ensuring stability before the system is fully handed over to "business-as-usual" operations (DevOps).

- Strong communication, collaboration, and networking skills—you have a natural talent for bringing people and ideas together, and you can explain complex concepts in simple terms and coordinate multiple teams of experts.
- You are very structured and organized, and you have strong planning skills.
- You are a strong and dedicated team player, motivated and eager to learn.
- 5+ years of practical experience in a similar role and setting.
