Senior Network Engineer

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be part of a team that builds and operates the platform that powers Man Group’s business. You should be passionate about designing and building development tools to enable delivery and drive their adoption across teams.

Tasks

- Promote and adhere to technology best practices by combining strong engineering skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of industry trends and best practices to develop reliable, high-performance, and robust solutions - Building and managing Man Group’s infrastructure, both on-premises and in the cloud, using technologies such as Python and PTF - Integrating Ansible, Terraform, and other automation tools with network and systems - Working closely with business partners in a dynamic environment - You are also responsible for ensuring the engineering capability to deliver complex network projects using software-driven and agile methodologies

Requirements

- Experience in operating and deploying network infrastructure - Experience with routing and switching protocols - Experience troubleshooting transport protocols (TCP/UDP) - Extensive experience with security protocols (BGP, VXLAN) - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams - Good knowledge of the following products: Aviat Networks, Cisco Networking, Arista Networks - Experience with network security and data centers - Good understanding of performance monitoring and optimization in complex environments - Experience in Unix environments, including troubleshooting and performance optimization in complex environments - Our ideal candidate should maintain a high level of customer feedback - Other technical skills include the ability to maintain an environment while also working independently - A clear and communicative team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment but is also self-reliant - Embraces agile engineering practices – willingness and ability to work effectively with AI-automated development tools as part of the daily workflow
