Senior Network Engineer

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team.

Tasks

- Promote and adhere to technology best practices through strong engineering skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of industry trends and best practices to develop reliable, high-performance, and robust solutions - Building and managing Man Group’s infrastructure, both on-premises and in the cloud, using technologies such as Windows and Linux - Integrating Ansible, Terraform, and other automation tools with network systems and services - Working closely with business partners in a dynamic environment - Leverage the latest networking technologies and tools to deliver complex network architectures using software-defined and agile methodologies

Requirements

Essential:

• Experience in operating and deploying network infrastructure
• Experience with routing and switching platforms
• Experience troubleshooting transport protocols (TCP/UDP)
• Extensive experience with network devices (EON, VXLAN)
• A solid understanding of the concepts of Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of the following products: Cisco, Arista Networks, Juniper Networks
• Experience in automating workflows to improve efficiency
• Experience in performance and capacity planning in complex environments
• Experience with or a strong interest in troubleshooting and performance optimization in complex environments

• A flexible and adaptable work style that allows you to work effectively in your daily workflow, with or without development tools
• Improving existing engineering work – reliability and the ability to work effectively with or without development tools
