Senior Officer, Operations
A Senior Officer in Operations will be responsible for the processing of structured notes and derivatives, daily reconciliations and trade settlements. The candidate should have experience in the banking or financial sector and have excellent communication skills.
Job description
Tasks
- Responsible for the processing of structured notes and derivatives trading transactions
- Performs daily reconciliations of trader blocks against system records and broker trade confirmations
- Handles trade settlements and market data management
- Works with the head office to create SecMaster and maintains the market price update
- Communicates with traders, brokers and custodians to resolve any settlement issues or discrepancies
- Maintains proper transaction records
- Communicates with the sales team in case of problems with derivative trade bookings
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal guidelines in connection with settlement
- Takes on ad hoc projects as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 1-2 years of professional experience in a bank or financial institution, preferably in the area of securities settlement
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua
Preferred skills
- Knowledge of SWIFT / Clearstream / CCASS
