Job description: Senior Operational Python Data Analyst

Purpose of the role

This hybrid role offers an ideal opportunity for a candidate with technical skills to work within Man Group's operations team. The role includes:

• Support and maintenance of Duo, one of MGD's most widely used end-user systems
• Technical analytical support for the MGD teams within Investment Operations
• Focus on project delivery, operational process efficiency, and control environment

Specific responsibilities

• Act as an interface for investment and technical support for data/trading/Python inquiries and ensure timely resolution of inquiries
• Processing of MS transitions, including review of trade files/records/downstream data flows
• Improving Python tools to enhance and contribute to the integrity of investment operations data
• Representation of the Investment Operations Solutions team at Man Group
• Quality control, testing, and implementation of process and technology requirements and improvements
• Continuous improvement of data quality and standards within investment operations
• Collaborate with business risk and investment management teams on data projects and deliveries

Technical skills

• Python – Intermediate level: Familiarity with core Python programming, data manipulation, and aggregation (e.g., Pandas, Numpy)
• Python Excel – Intermediate level: Familiarity with advanced Excel functionality, including lookups and formatting
• KOL - Intermediate level: Understanding of relational database concepts, familiarity with writing queries using KDB+, MS SQL, MySQL, T-SQL, LITP, Swift (RTS)
• Analytical mind, strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
