Senior Operational Python Data Analyst

Job description

Tasks

• Coordinating investments and technical support for data/trade/Python requests and ensuring timely resolution of requests related to data/trade/Python reconciliation
• Developing Python solutions to ensure the integrity of investment operations data and contribute to reducing department costs
• Representation of the Investment Operations Solutions team at Man Group
• Identification, prioritization, and coordination of process and technology improvements and enhancements
• Continuous improvement of data quality and consistency within investment operations
• Collaborate with technology and data teams to ensure data feeds are accurate and complete
• Collaboration with external companies (e.g., executing brokers, clearing brokers, prime brokers, etc.)

Requirements

Technical skills

• Python - intermediate level: Familiarity with Python core programming, knowledge of data manipulation and data structures
• Financial Excel - intermediate level: Familiarity with advanced Excel functions, including lookup and formatting
• SQL - intermediate level: Understanding of relational database concepts with familiarity in creating queries and extracting minimum data
• Excel - advanced level (IFunktionen, XLOPI/Excel add-ins), LIFT BEST PRACTICES

• Analytical mindset with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in asking questions
