Senior Oracle DBA

Your role

As a Senior Oracle DBA at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you will be responsible for the operation, support, and ongoing development of our Oracle environment worldwide, and for providing a high-quality storage service for the bank's critical applications.

Your tasks

- Support operations through troubleshooting and incident management - Implement change requests (RFCs) in accordance with existing procedures and protocols - Optimizing resource utilization by analyzing and proposing improvements while taking into account the lifecycle management of hosted applications - Developing and implementing automated solutions - Collaborating on the continuous development of the existing infrastructure and actively supporting migration projects - Conducting recovery drills and troubleshooting as part of Level 2 support, including on-call service

Your profile

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree (university or university of applied sciences) in computer science or a related field - At least 7 years of practical experience in database operations and engineering - Knowledge of Oracle databases and PostgreSQL is required - Experience with Ansible automation is a plus - Strong teamwork skills and the ability to identify synergies - Hands-on approach and willingness to take on responsibility - Strong work ethic, integrity, and a high degree of responsibility - Fluent in English; fluency in German is a plus
