About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. You will play a critical role in leading and implementing the infrastructure that supports our systematic trading. This exciting position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies at scale and support our global trading and research operations.

Tasks

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions: configuration management, infrastructure orchestration platforms, and monitoring systems that enable our engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable services.
• Collaborate with the entire infrastructure organization to ensure that systems and platforms are in place to support our trading infrastructure.

Requirements

Key competencies

• 3+ years of experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or Salt
• Experience in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in production
• Solid understanding of observability and monitoring practices, including experience with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar platforms
• Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to communicate both technical and non-technical topics fluently in IT and business environments
• Experience with containerization and automation tools such as Puppet, PowerShell, Bash, or similar
• Understanding of SDLC principles and experience with tools such as Jenkins or GitLab Actions
• Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and infrastructure architecture patterns

Desired

• Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes (Docker, containers, etc.)
• Knowledge of OTAP workflows and tools such as Argyle/OCI or Flux
• Experience with security and service management practices using Vault
• Understanding of infrastructure systems and their interaction with system architecture
• Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries
• Self-discipline with the ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Contributions to open source projects or active participation in technical communities is a plus
