Job description
The role of Senior Portfolio Analyst lies at the intersection of quantitative research, portfolio construction, and live investment decisions. You will play a key role in the investment process—from signal validation to portfolio risk management—and help make the investment decisions that drive actual capital allocation.Tasks
- Handling day-to-day portfolio management tasks, including validating the implementation of our investment strategies
- Analysis of the results of our portfolio construction process to ensure the integrity of our investment philosophy and risk parameters
- Identifying and promoting new ideas and risk management techniques for implementation
- Reviewing existing investment ideas to ensure portfolio performance and optimization
- Implementation of signal enhancement initiatives in partnership with research teams and the development of independent research projects with a clear path to implementation
- Responsibility for the numerical aspects of customer communications and presentations
- Collaborating with teams within Man Group to address investment, technical, and operational challenges
Requirements
- Degree in accounting, finance, statistics, computer science, economics, or mathematics
- Coding experience required; Python preferred
- A solid understanding of accounting and financial analysis
- Strong research capabilities
- Ability to clearly communicate complex quantitative concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrable experience in independent projects or research
- Strong sense of integrity

Salary and benefits
The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $115,000 USD. The compensation package also includes benefits and a discretionary bonus.
