Senior Portfolio Analyst

The Senior Portfolio Analyst role sits at the intersection of quantitative research, portfolio construction, and portfolio risk management, with direct insight into how our trading decisions impact actual capital allocation and growth strategies worth billions of dollars. You will work with a team of portfolio managers and portfolio analysts and have the autonomy to determine how strategies are implemented and improved.

Tasks

  • Handling day-to-day portfolio management tasks, including validating the implementation of investment strategies
  • Monitoring the output of the Man Numeric design process to ensure the integrity of our investment philosophy and improve results
  • Generating and promoting new portfolio construction ideas from across the investment team
  • Development of tools to assess and improve portfolio implementation and performance
  • Implementation of signal enhancement initiatives in partnership with research teams and the development of independent research projects with a clear path to production
  • Adaptation of the analytical narrative for customer communications and presentations
  • Collaborating with teams within Man Group to address investment, technical, and operational challenges

Requirements

  • Degree in accounting, finance, statistics, computer science, economics, or mathematics
  • Coding skills required; Python preferred
  • Solid understanding of accounting and financial analysis
  • A strong interest in investments and the financial markets
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex quantitative conclusions to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Organizational skills and evidence of self-directed projects or research
  • Strong sense of integrity

Salary

The salary ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 USD.
