Senior Portfolio Manager – Outsourced CIO Team Zurich, full-time (f/m/d)
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager for its Outsourced CIO team in Zurich, who will provide experienced investment advice and portfolio management for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in portfolio management and a strong education in finance or a related field.
Tasks
- Alignment of the investment strategy with each client's objectives and constraints
- Coverage of all major asset classes, including fixed income securities, equities, currencies, alternative investments, commodities, and external funds
- Analysis and optimization of aggregated client portfolios based on individual risk profiles, preferences, and investment restrictions
- Providing comprehensive risk management, performance analysis, and portfolio program optimization for customers and prospects
- Preparation of customized investment proposals and representation of the investment perspective in client meetings as a dedicated investment expert
- Providing outstanding investment solutions and services to UHNWI clients in new and established relationships
- Working closely with relationship managers and other investment teams to tailor strategies and products to client needs
- Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of standard and customized reports, including performance, risk, and portfolio composition
- Compliance with strict guidelines for investments, mandate specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Active participation in business development, support of acquisition efforts in partnership with private bankers and other internal units
Requirements
- Academic degree in mathematics, economics, quantitative finance, research, computer science, management science, or a related field; CFA, CEFA, FRM, or similar certification strongly preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in portfolio management or a comparable investment function with direct customer contact
- Strong understanding of financial markets and portfolio construction, with the ability to discuss a wide range of asset classes credibly
- Proven track record as an outstanding investment advisor or portfolio manager, ideally in a UHNWI or institutional context
- Excellent presentation and communication skills to present complex concepts clearly and convincingly
- Excellent client-focused and interpersonal skills, with a strong understanding of UHNWI client needs
- Strong communication skills to express complex investment ideas in a clear and appealing manner
- Fluency in German and English required; additional languages are a strong advantage
