Senior Python Engineer - AI

Job description

Tasks

• Design, build and maintain the company's core AI and machine learning platform
• Collaborate with stakeholders from research, business, technology and operations to design, build and deploy solutions (APIs, applications and agents)
• Actively monitor the latest developments in Applied AI to identify, propose and implement new or powerful capabilities
• Proactively collaborate with teams across the organization to drive understanding and adoption of AI tools and capabilities

Requirements

Required

• Advanced knowledge of Python with extensive professional experience in the development of production applications and services
• Proven experience in a formal Python development environment with other developers, engineers and data scientists
• Proven enthusiasm for all aspects of machine learning
• Strong scientific and mathematical background and computer skills (e.g. computer science, mathematics, engineering, physics)
• Experience in problem solving to effectively manage time across multiple projects and with competing demands
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build close working relationships with traders, quantitative researchers and other stakeholders

Desirable

• Familiarity with front-end frameworks/languages (e.g. Typescript, React, Next.js)
• Experience with the integration of databases such as Postgresql/Graphsql and Redis
• Experience with data science tools (e.g. Pandas, scikit-learn) or automated coding tools
• Experience with the training or fine-tuning of generative models or the processing of automated coding tools
• Experience developing tools and technologies within systematic or discretionary investments with experience in software development practices
• Experience with digital platforms, market data and ecosystems, with awareness of underlying concepts
