Senior Python Engineer - AI

Job description

Tasks

• Design, build and maintain the company's core AI and machine learning platform
• Collaborate with research, commercial, technology and operational stakeholders to design, build and deploy solutions for BPA, applications and agents
• Actively monitor the latest developments to identify, propose and implement novel and powerful solutions
• Proactively collaborate with teams across the organization to drive understanding and adoption of AI tools and capabilities

Requirements

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of Python with extensive professional experience in the development of production applications and services
• Proven experience in a formal Python development environment with other developers
• Expert knowledge in software engineering for the development and management of customized solutions
• Proven enthusiasm for all emerging AI and machine learning technologies
• Strong understanding in multiple disciplines with a degree in mathematics and computer science, e.g. computer science, mathematics, engineering, e.g. physics
• Ability to work independently with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple projects and with competing priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain close working relationships with traders, quantitative researchers and other stakeholders

Desired skills

• Experience with Natural Language Processing
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks/languages, e.g. TypeScript, React, Next.js
• Experience with the integration of databases such as PostgreSQL and Redis
• Experience with machine learning tools, e.g. scikit-learn
• Experience with training or fine-tuning generative models, processing or automatic coding tools
• Experience with developing tools and techniques within systematic or discretionary investing, e.g. backtesting, data science, feature extraction with an understanding of the underlying concepts
• Experience with our trading stack: Linux/UNIX, Git, Slack
