Senior Python Engineer - AI

Tasks

- Design, build, and maintain the company's core AI and machine learning platform - Partner with stakeholders in research, trading, technology, and operations to design, build, and deploy customized AI/ML applications and agents - Actively monitor the latest developments to identify, propose, and implement new AI-powered capabilities - Proactively collaborate with teams across the company to promote understanding and acceptance of AI tools and capabilities

Requirements

Essential:

• Advanced knowledge of Python, with extensive professional experience in creating production applications or research
• Strong programming skills, with experience in creating production-ready code
• Extensive experience in a formal Python development environment alongside other developers
• Strong software development skills and best practices
• Demonstrable enthusiasm for all aspects of engineering and machine learning
• Strong numerical skills with a degree in a highly quantitative subject such as computer science, mathematics, engineering, or physics
• Self-organized with the ability to effectively manage time across multiple projects and competing priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain close working relationships with traders, quantitative researchers, and other stakeholders
• Adaptable

Desirable:

• Familiarity with front-end frameworks/languages such as TypeScript, React, Next.js
• Experience integrating with databases/technologies such as PostgresSQL and Redis
• Experience with cloud-based technologies, knowledge of containers
• Experience in training or fine-tuning generative models/processing or automated coding tools
• Experience in developing tools and technologies within systematic or discretionary investment units
• Experience with statistics, mathematical models, and instruments with an awareness of the underlying concepts
